Business Development Director Financial services
The Business Development Financial services is responsible for implementing plans and programs to contribute to the achievement of agency produced sales and development of our Financial Professionals. This leader will drive the creation and delivery of innovative and highly effective learning solutions that engage, inspire, train, prepare, educate, and develop our talent. The Director will work with Senior Leadership to oversee management of our continuous educational programs. This is an individual contributor role that requires in-depth industry expertise and relationship building proven skills. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Drive strategies to teach and grow our firm’s talent through providing knowledge of several subject areas including, but not limited to: presentation of sales skills, obtaining new business opportunities, product roll out, new hire onboarding, functional training, service training, and policy/procedural training etc.
Manage the design, development, and delivery of training curriculum and relevant e-learning modules. Develop a work plan that addresses priorities, assignments, and calendars. 
 
Develop rapport and provide comprehensive sales expertise to our Financial Professionals in order to develop acceptable and profitable business 
Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance on a continuous basis to team members. Monitor workload of team members and provide feedback on individual and team performance. 
Identify and develop agency behavior that drives profitable growth
Understand and effectively communicate all progress of the business to all internal stakeholders 
Provide feedback on industry trends, strategies and challenges 
Facilitate relationship with key resources including key clients, wholesalers, product and industry specialists, etc.
Assess through multiple measurement tools, the short- and long- term impacts of training programs to ensure expected outcomes are realized. Based on knowledge of the business units, continuously refresh and modernize training programs
Education & Knowledge: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
 
 
Experience / Skills and Competencies: 
Proven leader in sales results, including lead generation, professional sales techniques, solution selling and closing sales 
Experience and working knowledge of financial services/insurance products and services
Exude credibility (product knowledge and professionalism) and develops trust easily
Strong facilitation and training delivery skills
Licenses required LH, PC and Series 6 or Series 7
 
Ability to effectively coach to success and build team cohesiveness to achieve results
Forecasting, strategic thinking and sales reporting experience 
Adapt to change including the market, products and company initiatives 
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills 
Organized, detail-oriented and thorough approach to all responsibilities 
Consistent track record of success in achieving and exceeding annual quota and business objectives 
Strong technical affiliation and ability to learn new technology quickly
Skilled in leveraging business analytics to drive business outcomes
