Brokerage Assistant

Location: New York, New York
  Life insurance wholesaler Assistant  in New York City. Contacts will include major Insurance Agencies and brokers in the area. This position  will require a self motivated, experienced individual. Must be fully insurance licensed with a Series 6 or 7.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develops sales plans and financial budgets for assigned region
  • Executes on the firms value proposition through partnership and collaboration with our distribution partners
  • Drives key initiatives through partnership and collaboration with external centers of influence
  • Directs and executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation
  • Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results of the assigned region
  • Identifies and directs strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and key stakeholders on complex assignments and projects
  • Partners closely with internal stakeholders to align sales efforts with partner firm strategies
  • Builds, maintains and leverages trusting relationships within a wide range of disciplines, including internal sales, product development, underwriting, Relationship Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Compliance, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments and trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies
